Among Karsten Guenther’s productions is the ZDFneo series Things we fear, which received numerous award nominations and honors, including the Grimme Award, the German Television Award, and the DafFNE Award of the German Television Academy. He is also the producer of Drive – The Pretenders (WT), the first high-end feature film produced by Bavaria Fiction for Amazon MGM Studios Germany and Prime Video, which was shot in 2025 in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Italy. Karsten Guenther is a graduate of the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF).
In 2014, he received the Transmedia Award at the Munich Film Festival for a cross-media entertainment concept addressing civic courage. During this period, he worked in the serial development department at Lionsgate Entertainment in the United States. From 2015 onward, he held senior roles at Axel Springer SE, where he was involved in building new digital creative units and most recently served as Head of Creative Content Strategy & Business Development, leading cross-platform content strategies and partnerships.
